1. Who we are
Tour by Cart Rome (VAT no. 18581251008) organises private tours in Rome by golf cart, Vespa, and other guided experiences. You can reach us at tourbycartrome@gmail.com or +39 393 007 9047 (also on WhatsApp). Our meeting point is Piazza Venezia, Rome.
2. What we collect
We only collect data you give us directly, when you:
- fill in the booking form (name, email, phone, chosen tour, date, time, number of guests, pick-up location, language, optional notes);
- fill in the contact form (first name, last name, email, tour of interest, message);
- write to us directly by email, WhatsApp, or phone.
3. How we use your data
We use your data only to:
- process and follow up on your booking requests;
- contact you to confirm availability, timing, and final price;
- send you the order summary email and answer your questions.
We do not use your data for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
4. Who we share data with
Your data is handled internally by our team. To deliver the service we rely on a few outside providers who process data on our behalf:
- Resend — to send booking confirmation and contact emails;
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) — if you choose to confirm or contact us via WhatsApp, that conversation is also subject to WhatsApp/Meta's own privacy policy.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
5. Data retention
We keep booking data in our database for as long as needed to manage your tour, handle any post-tour requests, and meet Italian accounting/tax obligations. You can ask us to delete it sooner by emailing the address above.
6. Cookies & local storage
This site does not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies. We only use your browser's local storage to remember your light/dark theme preference and selected language — that data stays on your device and is never sent to us.
7. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a restriction on the processing of your data at any time by emailing tourbycartrome@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children
Our tours are family-friendly, but bookings and the related contact details must be provided by a responsible adult.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
