Why it works
Tour by Cart Rome turns the Eternal City into an unforgettable private experience. Our sleek electric golf carts slip through narrow lanes and reach the corners that big buses and walking tours simply can’t — taking you from the Colosseum and the Vatican to the Trevi Fountain and the hidden piazzas only locals know. Every tour is completely private and led by a professional, English-speaking local driver who tailors the route to you. We pick you up right at your hotel, follow your pace and make the whole day effortless — comfortable for families, kids and grandparents alike. By day or under the golden lights of the night, this is Rome the way it was meant to be discovered.
All tours are private, with a dedicated driver and hotel pickup. Free cancellation.

“Our golf cart tour of Rome was genuinely one of the highlights of our trip and gave us an unforgettable family experience. A huge part of that was down to Nicolas, our driver and guide, who was absolutely amazing. He was so friendly, knowledgeable and brilliant with our children. He took us to some fantastic locations, including some incredible viewpoints we would never have found ourselves, and he also took some fab family photos of us along the way. What we appreciated most was how patient and accommodating Nicolas was. Our son is disabled, so at some stops we needed a little more time and moved more slowly than other families might. Nicolas never made us feel rushed and gave us all the time and support we needed to enjoy each place properly - even though we ended up making him late for his next tour… sorry Nicolas! 😅 He really went above and beyond to give us the best possible experience of Rome. It was such a special evening and has given our children some wonderful memories that we'll all treasure. We couldn't recommend the tour - and especially Nicolas - highly enough. ❤️”
“This Golf Csrt Food tour was Amazing! The communication front he owner Ash the value the tour guide Nico everything was above and beyond. I'm from NY I was able to call Ash the tour owner on what's app and he customized our time. We did a night food tour and it was amazing Antipasto from Roscoli to Gelato Pizza Suppli Pasta and Calamari from Nanarella wowwww amazing and to see all the great parts of Rome from Trevi Fountain to pantheon to colosseum And everything in between. Make sure you book this tour and say Johnny from New York sent you!”
“This was perhaps one of our most unique tourist experiences. Nicholas and Christian provided excellent guidance and great support for my 84 year old mum. The Vittoria monument at sunset was stunning and mum was able to fulfill her wish to throw a coin in the Trevi fountain. Highly recommended as a unique way to see Rome and particularly useful for mum who cannot manage the 20,000 steps a day. Thank you.”
“Our golf cart tour of Rome was absolutely fantastic! Nicolas was an incredible driver and tour guide. Having lived in Rome his entire life, he knew the city inside and out and shared so much interesting history and local knowledge along the way. He took us to all of the places we wanted to see, including the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and so many other beautiful sights. He was incredibly accommodating and made the entire experience feel personal and relaxed. We got to see so much of Rome without the stress of navigating the busy streets or walking in the heat. Nicolas was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely made our experience special. If you're visiting Rome, I highly recommend booking a golf cart tour with Nicolas. It was one of the highlights of our trip and the perfect way to experience this amazing city! 🇮🇹❤️”
“We booked same day and accidentally booked 9 am instead of 9 pm, which the tour operator graciously corrected for us. Our guide, Nicolas, was fantastic. Communication was great through WhatsApp and he was very flexible on the pick up and drop off locations. He was so friendly and fun, and knew all the best nighttime views and places for great pictures! This is definitely a must do in Rome!”
“Outstanding! Cristian was nothing but amazing! His personality, performance, and hospitality was so infectious! We are so lucky to have had such an amazing experience!”
“Had a fabulous custom tour this evening! Aventine Hill, Palatine Hill, Pincio Terrace and more! Nicolas was an amazing guide, and we viewed sites in Rome that we had never seen before in our 8 previous trips to this city! Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome.”
“We had an amazing experience with our tour guide, Nicolas! He picked us up directly from our hotel, which made everything so easy—especially traveling with a toddler. We booked the 1.5-hour tour, and honestly, we were blown away by how much he managed to show us in such a short time. Nicolas brought Rome to life with fascinating facts at every stop, all while keeping things fun and full of laughs. It never felt rushed—just perfectly curated. If you’re considering this tour, I highly recommend booking at least 3 hours if you can. There is just so much to see in this incredible city, and you’ll definitely want more time once you get started! Even with our limited schedule, Nicolas made the experience absolutely perfect. And a huge bonus for families: they provide car seats for babies, so no need to bring your own. We couldn’t recommend Nicolas more!”
“Our tour was absolutely fantastic. We met Nico on the street while he was working, and he was incredibly kind and helpful. He found us accommodations for the next day and gave us a personalized tour in Polish language , where we saw practically everything in Rome. I highly recommend it. An excellent experience!”
“We only had three hours in Rome and this was a perfect tour to get a taste of Rome. Our tour guide chill and easy to work with.”
“Veldig fin måte og se mange severdigheter på kort, og slippe mye gåing imellom. Merk at turen ikke inkluderer noen billetter for inngang, og det er heller ikke tid til å gå inn noe sted, så alt må sees fra utsiden.”
“We had a fun tour and Fendi was great tweaking our scheduled stops based on what we wanted to see. It was a highlight for the kids!”
“Fedi was able to customize a tour for us to be sure we didn’t duplicate what was planned for the next day. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and did a great job driving that golf cart in a very busy city. Highly recommend”
“Our driver, Nico, was fantastic! He was very accommodating when we wanted to stop for a coffee and took us to a local spot. Super fun helped us take great pictures and made this event super special for us on our last day in Rome!”

Nous avons pu voir les monuments et places que nous voulions. Merci Nicolas pour ce super tour individuel.”
“Fantastic tour! My friends and I loved it. The guide was so handsome and charming, he made the tour so fun for all of us! He was professional, on time , and incredibly detailed while still cracking jokes in the middle of some crazy traffic. No regrets, amazing experience.”
“Highly recommend! This was fantastic and a highlight of our time in Rome. Nicholas, our driver, was fantastic, funny, and super knowledgeable! Communication was great too!”
“Amazing!! It’s a great way to see all the important monuments in one evening and learn all about the history. Our guide was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic it was awesome. 10/10 recommend.”
“Fedi was an amazing tour guide! He tailored the ride completely to us! We got to see all the sites that were on our list! He gave great information and was an amazing tour guide! We loved the golf cart experience”
“My family enjoyed an absolutely lovely golf cart tour that catered to our wishes! We viewed the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, Trevi fountain, and so many other sites that were in our list of what we wanted to see. Our guide Nikalaus was generous with his enthusiasm and knowledge pointing out historic churches, and notable landmarks that we would have missed as we drive to the points of interest that were on our list. We had our tour start at 7:00 after an already heavy site seeing day and it was the perfect ending to our day to be picked up at our vrbo and enjoy being driven around and then returned to our vrbo. Would highly recommend! Especially with Nikalaus!!”
“Fedi was great!! Wonderful experience for our family.”
“An incredible experience from start to finish! Their website is beautifully designed and super easy to navigate. Booking was seamless, and despite our last-minute request, they accommodated our family perfectly, catering to every need. Exploring Rome by golf cart was pure magic—zero stress, no tired feet, and stunning views everywhere. Our driver was amazing and extremely professional. To top it off, they recommended magnificent spots and even booked a fantastic restaurant for us after the tour. We'll definitely do this again and will recommend it to everyone visiting Rome. A must-book experience!”
“Nico showed us all the important sites and made it a very welcoming experience. We never would have been able to see so much on our own in such a short period of time. Highly recommend!”
“Nico was punctual, showed us many hidden gems and made the experience fun and enjoyable. We got to see so much of Rome in a very short period of time - we would not have been able to visit everything Nico showed us during our visit. Highly recommend.”
“Very accommodating. Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, great communication. Overall great experience.”
“We had an excellent experience with Nico, our driver for the three-hour golf cart tour! After two other companies canceled on us and failed to deliver what they had promised, this company was able to accommodate us at the very last minute, and we couldn't have been happier. In just three hours, Nico showed our family some of the most important and interesting sights in Rome. He took us to wonderful places and gave us great recommendations along the way. The whole experience was easy and enjoyable, and they even picked us up right in front of our accommodation. Everything was exactly as promised: they charged us the price they had quoted, were reliable, and delivered on everything they said they would. We highly recommend this company and especially Nico. Five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our family was very happy with the experience and grateful that they made our tour of Rome possible at the last minute.”
